We are delighted to announce that Physio Med has received a top industry accolade in recognition of our innovative self management PAL service.
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Service Excellence Awards recognise and reward the best examples of service delivery by Chartered Physiotherapists throughout the profession.
Physio Med's Clinical Director Mark Fletcher, Head of Business Development Nikki Harris and Office Manager Nicola Wood were presented with the 'Promoting Self-Management' Excellence Award for the PAL (Physiotherapy Advice Line) service, which assesses patients with musculoskeletal conditions and provides them with individually tailored, self-management plans to aid recovery and help them return to work more quickly.
Collecting the award, Mark Fletcher, said: "We have worked really hard to develop PAL over the past five years and are absolutely thrilled that the innovative nature of the service has been recognised as excellent by the industry and our governing body. "The service is used by thousands of people a year, with 80-85% of customers reporting that employees referred to the service return back to work."
Dr Helena Johnson, chair of Council at the CSP, said: "The CSP awards recognise physiotherapists who show innovation and excellence to provide even better services for patients.
"Getting staff well and back to work quickly saves employers money, which is crucial in the current economic climate. Physio Med's innovative use of modern technology to encourage workers to manage their own health problems, like back pain, has been highly successful. This award is richly deserved."
The awards ceremony took place at the Hotel Russell in London on Monday, 26th November.
