Physio Med was represented by one of its top physiotherapists at a global conference in South Africa, as part of its commitment to the continual development of both staff and the business.
Jenny May, a physio at our headquarters in Leeds, attended the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy Symposium 2013 conference in South Africa.
The event attracted speakers and delegates from around the world, including America and Australia, covering issues such as knee rehabilitation and concussion.
Jenny said: “There were many interesting topics discussed at the conference and I hope to share the new theories and research with my colleagues so that we can continue to improve Physio Med’s PAL service.
“It was particularly interesting to hear that other physiotherapists around the world have found that a structured exercise programme was the most useful treatment method for issues such as hamstring strains and tennis elbow. This supports the validity and effectiveness of the PAL service and the exercise protocols we provide.
“At Physio Med we are always looking for ways to improve our service and enhance our Continuing Professional Development and this event was definitely a worthwhile experience.”
